Inserting page numbers as a footer in an Excel file with more than one page makes it easy for the reader to know the order of the pages and the sequence for better understanding when reading through the document.
Having a single-page document with a footer that reads “2 of 5” implies that the document you are holding is page 2 of a 5-page document.
This tells you that there are more pages to that document you are holding.
